PV_Purity Template

Local Changes to the Purity template

There is one other significant change between the JA_Purity and pv_purity templates.  In the JA_Purity template, the position to the right of the font sizing contrls is 'user4' and the 'top' position is at the bottom between 'user2' and 'user5'.  It made no sense to me to have the 'top' position at the bottom; so I swapped the 'top' and 'user4'  positions.

The default template is 'pv_purity'. This is a slight modification of the popular 'JA_Purity' template. The main difference is that the pv_purity template has a few more customizations available.

Note that it is possible through the parameters to use a logo image instead of the logo text and slogan. It is not possible to use both. (Presumably if you want both, you will incorporate the logo text and slogan into the logo image.) If you use a logo, it should be 208 pixels wide and 80 pixels high.

Positions are: banner, breadcrumbs, debug, footer, left, right, sydicate, top, user1, user2, user3, user4, and user5. The breadcrumbs position is filled with the breadcrumbs module. The syndicate position is filled with the syndicate module. The list of locations available in the Module Manager includes 'hornav, used for the horizontal navigation menu at the top. But that does not appear in the template.css file and items put there explicitly will not be visible; its contents are set through a parameter in the Template Manager.

The 'top' position appears to be most useful for small special-purpose modules, like a site-map, which may dieplay as a small graphic instead of text.

You will note that one menu is listed horizontally across the bottom of the header area. Which menu is set in the template parameters; and it is independant of the menu's position, and even whether or not is is enabled in the Module Manager.
